Training and Analysis

Atom™ includes many features to support controller and technician training and the analysis of air traffic information. NOTAM_Bene is a powerful visualization tool that can be used in the training of airline dispatchers and in pilot training

Atom™ provides many flexible training options and configurations. As a PC-based system, training setup is simplified and can be accomplished on networked or stand-alone PCs (even laptops).

For training of air traffic controllers, Atom™ can use its playback functions using recorded live data or simulated data that can be optimized to the particular scenario in use.

For the training of technicians, Atom™ PCs can be networked together to simulate various operation configurations and used to instruct various troubleshooting scenarios.

NOTAM_Bene is particularly useful in the training of anyone who needs to learn about airspace structures and their relationship to 4D trajectories, such as pilots and airline dispatchers. NOTAM_Bene instantly converts typed or received airspace information (fixes, airways, airports, FIR boundaries, airspace reservations, lat/longs) or flight plan text into a map display, anywhere in the world. This gives instant visual feedback to the student in the development or interpretations of NOTAMs or flight plans. Even in training facilitates that provide minimal automation tools to students (so that they can develop their skills independently of an automation system), NOTAM_Bene can be useful by instructors to check, visualize and critique the student’s work without having to resort to laborious manual mapping.

For analysis and statistics, Atom™'s powerful software can convert text-based flight plans into four-dimensional trajectories through any airspace in the world and produces many on-line and printed reports as well as providing the ability to export data to files that can then be read into commercial software packages.
