Airport Revenue

Atom™’s powerful data sharing architecture provide much-needed real-time airport billing information directly from ATC flight data – use the same information as used by Tower Air Traffic Control for accurate and current information. The information can be used both for monthly account billing and is available in real-time for on-demand billing of non-account holders before departure. Atom™ provides:

  • Merged arrival/departure flight plan information to determine aircraft type, aircraft registration, and actual time on the ground for airport billing and statistics use.

  • Automatic lookup of flight identification in arrival and departure flight plans against airline or registration database to find current account information.

  • Identification of flights with airport accounts and produces demand bills before departure for flights without accounts.

  • Distribution of real-time pre-departure payment-required status indicators on flight displays to airport and air traffic functions, including tower and AIS/FSS.

  • Sharing of actual gate/stand information for billing and statistics purposes.

  • User configurable control of billing fee calculation parameters, including aircraft weight, time on the ground, time of day, parking stand, special accounts, and any other local rules including expanded flight types such as Cargo/Mail and Training.

  • Ability to receive real-time en route airspace charges from cooperating CAA for on-demand billing of inbound aircraft without CAA accounts (en route fees added to airport fees for demand billing before departure, revenue shared with CAA).

  • Accurate and complete information provides for quality and timely billing which both reduces billing queries and provides rock-solid back-up information if questions arise.

Integration with other systems:

The Atom™ Airport Revenue System can be interfaced to live air traffic control data from Tower ATC It can also be interfaced to Airline systems to have up-to-date flight manifest information needed for revenue billing.

The Atom™ Advantage:

Atom™’s sophisticated use of air traffic flight data having information on all flights allows the Airport Revenue Office to capture all charges not only on a monthly basis, but also on an immediate demand basis for flights without airport accounts. By using the same information that is used by and kept up to date by Air Traffic Controllers, the Revenue Office is guaranteed accurate and complete information, and in real-time. Revenue and statistics information can be obtained without resorting to tedious manual processes and improvement from the capture of lost information can enhance revenue and potentially avoid or delay rate increases to users.
