Passenger Screens/Advertising
The Atom™ Flight Data Display Manager (FDDM) provides full functionality for the passenger arrival/departure screens and advertising and can be driven by live Air Traffic Control (ATC) data, or operated stand-alone. By building on the powerful Atom™ Flight Data Management capabilities and using the same flight data that is maintained by the controller and surveillance and position update systems in the Tower Air Traffic Control, The FDDM:
-
Automatically displays and update flight arrivals/departures from filtered ATC data (Atom™ or non-Atom™ sources).
-
Automatically interprets ATC information so an initial status of “On-Time” from an initial Flight Plan will be updated with a new time and show “Delayed” Status after receipt of a Delay message from the ATC system.
-
Has complete, long-term control over flight schedules displayed using information from Repetitive Flight Plans / FAA Bulk Store / IATA airline formats.
-
Merges schedule and ATC flight data automatically so passenger information is available well in advance of ATC activity.
-
Includes a multi-day advertising scheduling package that can control the time and duration of videos, graphics, and moving text uniquely on any individual display.
-
Allows the display of both flight arrival/departure information and advertising on the same screen for maximum effect, or either can run stand-alone.
-
Allows manual updates and ad-hoc messages to be put into displays by airport operations and airline personnel.
Atom™ FDDM provides the following features for Passenger Screens/Advertising.
Interfaces to other systems:
The Atom™ passenger arrival/departure screens can be interfaced to live air traffic control data from Tower ATC and Air Traffic Management. It can also be interfaced to Gate Management systems to have up-to-date gate scheduling.
Atom™ FDDM can be interfaced to airline systems to receive updates from airline information
The Atom™ Advantage:
Atom™ FDDM provides the airport manager with up-to-date flight information for passengers from ATC data without depending solely on manual or airline systems. Use of air traffic data makes sure that even the smallest airline’s flights are visible to the passengers. Text, photo and video advertising space are a revenue source that passengers and others that accompany them are guaranteed to view.
