Area Control Center
By building on the Advanced
Flight Data Management
(FDM) functions supporting Air Traffic Control, Atom™ provides the following additional features to Area Control Center personnel.

-
Flow planning and sector loading for workload prediction.
-
Distance based conflict prediction.
-
Beacon code a assignment based on 4D trajectory within the ACC and automatically distributed to adjacent Towers and Approach controls by ICAO message.
-
AIDC/OLDI coordination with adjacent ACCs, Approach Controls, & Towers.
-
Single or multiple strips per flight including colors determined by heading.

-
Supervisor can use live system flight data to predict future sector loading in tabular displays and use same information in the situation display in fast-time mode to visualize future traffic patterns and relation to sector loading.
-
At controllers’ pre-shift airspace familiarization briefing, use NOTAM_Bene to review text and see visually on electronic map display all current and future NOTAMs affecting the controller’s airspace, including ad-hoc airspace reservations and volcanic ash warnings.
-
At time of flight plan processing , Atom™ can determine that airline or aircraft does not have an account with the ACC Airspace Revenue department. If the flight is also determined to be landing at a Cooperating Airport , Atom™ will calculate the en route charge, and automatically send a message to that airport so the en route fee can be collected.
-
Produce detailed traffic count statistics.

Interfaces to other systems:
The Atom™ Advantage:
Atom™ provides a powerful ACC system with both ATC and ATM features in the same system with automated interfaces to adjacent facilities and revenue and statistics.
