Technical Support

Benefits:

  • Remote manipulation from any other workstation. The Atom System Command Center is a workstation designed to securely administer other workstation in the system from a remote location. Its intended use is for technical personnel responsible for the maintenance of the Atom system to be able to diagnose and fix system failures while not at the site of the failure. For example, a technician may be able to use the System Command Center at his or her office while addressing a system failure occurring at another building, another Air Traffic facility or even in another part of the country.

  • Remote diagnoses and repair. Where a failure may occur outside the confines of the Local Area Network, the System Command Center will allow personnel to diagnose and address the failure allowing a prompt return to full operating capacity in the unlikely event of service interruptions.

  • Support workstations organize and ensure smooth functioning. Additional Atom support workstations are allocated to the Maintenance/Technicians Section, including the MainDB and Gateway. They maintain the different databases necessary to ensure the smooth functioning of Atom. They provide services to all the other workstations for querying and updating these databases.

  • Integration with other ATC equipment. The maturity and architectural flexibility of the Atom system allows for compatible with other data standards and formats applied in the industry. It readily processes ICAO and NAS data protocols and conventions, and will access data flows from several globally established telecommunications networks for the transfer of flight data. Atom can also be connected to almost any existing Radar or combination of Radars to provide a completely integrated FDP/RDP system.
