FAA SOS6

Services Operations Support (SOS) - 6 (New Systems) is an small business set-aside for engineering and technical support which enables the FAA to maintain, sustain and modernize en route and terminal processing equipment, controller workstations, communications, surveillance mission and support systems that altogether comprise the National Airspace System (NAS).

DISC is a subcontractor to Apptis, Inc. on the SOS6 contract.

SOS6 provides support, at a minimum, for the following NAS mission and support systems:

EnRoute Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) systems: Peripheral Adapter Module Replacement Item (PAMRI), Display System Replacement (DSR); Oceanic Systems - Off Shore Flight Data Processing System (OFDPS), Oceanic Display and Processing System (ODAPS), Interim Situation Display (ISD), Oceanic Datalink (ODL), Display System Support Complex (DSSC), and Free Flight.

Terminal area Air Traffic Control (ATC) systems: Standard Terminal Replacement Systems (STARS), Common Arts, and Micro En Route Automated Radar Terminal System (MicroEARTS).

Communication and Surveillance systems: Aeronautical Weather Observation System Data Acquisition System (ADAS), Weather Message Switching System Replacement (WMSCR), Voice Switching and Control System (VSCS), Flight  Service Automation System (FSAS),including Model 1 Full Capacity and Operational and Supportability Implementation System (OASIS); Weather and Radar Processor System (WARP).
